Playing an active role in the business community is part of our job. By promoting the commercial benefits of Herefordshire and the surrounding counties, we help our clients broaden their markets and bring in new companies to do business with.
Over the last 36 years, we have built strong business network. With that comes a good understanding of the local market which we use to provide robust business advice to our clients. We have also built strong professional connections – we know just the right people to recommend to our clients to ensure they get the best advice. Our reputation in Herefordshire and beyond means our professional colleagues also have confidence in recommending their clients to us.
We are active members of the Chamber of Commerce and support as many local networking events as our time allows. We also promote and engage with our clients and contacts via LinkedIn and Twitter.
In the wider community, we support a range of organisations through donations, sponsorship, advertising and participation in events.
As a Team, we are keen fundraisers and have recently nominated our Charities of the Year for 2022.
The main charities we will be supporting throughout 2022 are Crohn’s & Colitis UK and Herefordshire Mind.
Crohn’s & Colitis UK are a national charity providing practical information and support to those who have Crohn’s or Colitis and to their friends and family. Crohn’s and Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease which affects around 300,000 people in the UK.
Herefordshire Mind is a local mental health charity providing recovery focussed support for people with mental health problems in the county, through personalised support programmes, residential nursing, support groups and supported housing.
The charities have been chosen by our staff, many of whom have personal connections, or have friends and family members who have found help and support with them. Our knowledge of the wonderful work carried out by these charities will help focus our fundraising efforts throughout the year, and we look forward to some fun activities and challenges.
Whilst Herefordshire Mind and Crohn’s & Colitis UK are our main charities, we will continue to support other charities and community initiatives throughout the year, and join in with the national fundraising events that our staff enjoy. Here are some organisations we have recently supported.
Hereford Community Farm provides inclusive, therapeutic land-based activities and skills training for people who are disadvantaged through disability, ill health, social need or other conditions which impact on their daily life.
We are pleased to have been able to help Phoenix Bereavement Support Services, who offer vital support to children, young people and their families when someone close to them dies.
R J Francis director, Sarah Kaye, rode 350km on an exercise bike to raise money for Asthma UK, and charity that helps asthma sufferers by funding research, campaigning to improve the quality of care and providing help and support.
We support a number of organisations through advertising and sponsorship. We recently unveiled a new advertising board at the Hereford Golf Academy driving range.
